North Baltimore manages its own water, sewer, street, police, volunteer fire and EMS departments

North Baltimore manages its own water, sewer, street, police, volunteer fire and EMS departments. The volunteer spirit is alive and well in North Baltimore. Our fully trained fire department and EMS volunteers are on call twenty four hours a day to handle any emergency. We have a full time police department with a staff of five full time, nine part-time and nine auxiliary officers.

Electric
North Baltimore receives its electric power from the AEP, one of the largest electric utilities in the state of Ohio. Natural gas is supplied by Columbia Gas of Ohio. It is also headquarters for the Hancock-Wood Electric Cooperative, a non-profit corporation that provides electric service to over 11,000 member consumers.

Water and Sewage Facilities
North Baltimore has a modern water treatment plant and has plans for enlarging and upgrading the capacity of the plant. It has a two reservoirs and two 100,000 gallon water towers and 500,000 gallon storage capacity respectively. Water is obtained from a fresh water stream with a calculated mean annual flow of 9.54 billion gallons. A combined sanitary and storm sewer system serves the village. A new $2.6 million wastewater plant expansion was completed in 1990.
