The North Baltimore and area churches are
united in the Spirit of Jesus Christ. In an
organization we call the
"North Baltimore
Area Cooperative Ministry" (NBACM)
lay leaders and clergy join together to
fulfill this MISSION STATEMENT:
We are a community of churches
witnessing to our faith, reaching
out in love in North Baltimore and
the surrounding area. As a sign of
Christ's presence we seek to provide opportunities for people to know
Christ and grow in Him through community events, loving service, fellowship and prayer.

We are
united in
the Spirit
of Jesus Christ.

We provide weekly worship every Sunday at the Blakely Care Center Nursing Home.

We work closely with the
St. Vincent de Paul Society THRIFT STORE and The Salvation Army to provide ongoing assistance to those with special needs in the community with vouchers for food and utilities, and other emergency assistance.

Worshipers at the churches are regularly invited to bring food and household items for the
"Community Food Pantry" which is administered at The Salvation Army (117 North Tarr Street 419-257-9064).

The St. Vincent de Paul Society THRIFT STORE is located at 115 West State Street, 419-257-2454.

We hold an annual
"Community Thanksgiving Service" on
the Sunday before Thanksgiving. This service is held at a different church each year.

We provide Christmas baskets for those with special needs in the community. Under the general title
"Churches Cooperating at Christmas" this ministry is organized and administered by local church members. Organizations, businesses and individuals contribute very generously each year. Donations are for Christmas baskets as well as our voucher assistance program throughout the year.

Local churches and organizations such as the Boy Scouts volunteer to assist with the
Salvation Army Bell Ringing Campaign for raising funds for Christmas and ongoing voucher assistance.

We are
united in
the Spirit
of Jesus Christ.

We sponsor and participate in an annual Christmas program of music and praise at the Elmwood High School auditorium. Some of the cantatas have been:
"God So Loved the World," "All Is Calm, All Is Bright," "A Son! A Savior!" and "A Midnight Clear."

During the Wednesdays in Lent, we gather at noon at the North Baltimore churches for a
Lenten Lunch -- with Lenten devotions.

We work with the Senior Class each year to provide a
Baccalaureate Service close to graduation day.

"Good News Club" is an after-school ministry with Bible lessons, creative learning activities, inspiring missionary stories, meaningful songs, and life-changing Scripture memory. "Good News Club" is held from 2:45 until 4:00 p.m. at Powell School on Mondays for children in grades 3 through 6. Leaders include community lay people and pastors, and leaders from "Child Evangelism Fellowship."

We write a
weekly devotional article for the North Baltimore News.

Above all, we are united in the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
