THE FORK IN THE ROAD
Standing at the fork in the road.
Different paths have been showed.
Should I take the smooth and straight?
The rocky and bumpy and possibly be late?
Which direction should I tread?
Should I listen to what's been said?
Or follow my heart, trusting what it knows?
Allowing the journey to happen as it flows?
Split second decisions can change your life.
Bring happiness and peace or pain and strife.
But decisions, they have to be made.
Or you'll just sand there still and afraid.
Unmoving and wasting such precious time.
And that would be nothing but a crime.
So take a deep breath and choose your path.
Open your eyes and don't forget to laugh.
Whether your path be smooth and calm
Or filled with obstacles and qualm.
Give your heart to the things you choose.
Always learn something, then you cannot lose.
