My Vows

I take you close within my heart
The words of love to share
The earth the moon the stars of life
Adornments that we wear

You are to me the soil of earth
Rich bounty life defines
Feel you with my breathless heart
With highest mountain climbed

Today I take you with a vow
The vow of life to be
That we will share a sacred love
Throughout eternity

No other's heart shall pass this door
No spirit will I find
That gives to me the purpose of
The love that now will bind

Today my love I share with you
The words that I now speak
Within the meadows of my life
Our souls have been released

I vow to you with all my life
That you will always be
The spirit who I share my love
Our heart's sweet destiny.
