Incredible Photo The photo was reportedly taken in the Bitterroot National Forest in Montana on August 6, 2000. The photographer, John McColgan, is a fire behavior analyst from Fairbanks, Alaska. He took the picture with a digital
camera. Because he was working at the time he took the picture, he cannot profit from it. However, the picture is a (hopefully) once-in-a-lifetime shot and should be shared.Give the image a chance to load it may take up to 45 seconds,
but it will be worth it watch this AnWater Applet. Run your
mouse from one corner to the other both ways and sit back
and watch it. It will spiral from that corner and then go inside
the spiral and back again. Really amazing to see.Or if you like you can just sit there and let it load and do it's
thing and the spiral will start in around 40 seconds. Just don't
close your eyes with the music going, I did, and just about
feel to sleep. I do hope you enjoy this and share it with others. It looks like it is scooping up water to help put the fire out.
Or to keep the deer in the river cool, what do you think? Thanks to Dave, who sent me the photo, it is truly amazing.
