FRIENDSHIP
 

You came into my life one day, when I was feeling down

With words of hope and honesty, my frown turned upside-down

I somehow knew, deep down inside, that you and I would start

A true and honest friendship that comes straight from the heart

For friends are special people, who’ll be there when you need

They’ll lift you up, and share your pain, and offer words of heed

You, my newfound friend I’ll say, are truly heaven sent

Your words are filled with comfort, with you I feel content

Although our friendship started not very long ago

I know that as the days go by this friendship’s bound to grow

We seem to have a special bond that I can not explain

But knowing this I have to say, true friends, we will remain

You have a certain magic in every word you say

It let’s me know that always, and ever you will stay

You’ve brought me so much sunshine and brightened every day

With loving words and kindness, you chased the gray away

The world seems much more peaceful, whenever you’re around

And thanks to fate and destiny, new friendship has been found

And through the years, as times goes by I’ll be here for you, friend

For true and honest friendships will never, ever end

And whether you are old or new, I send to you my love

A hug, a kiss, a warm embrace, and blessing from Above

From this day forward and until the stars all fade away

The friendships we’re creating, are ever here to stay
