I long to hold you in my arms
And feel your warm embrace;
To run my fingers through your hair
Caress your lovely face
I long to kiss your lips so sweet
And gaze into your eyes;
To hear your heart beat, next to mine
And feel your pressure rise
I long to take you by the hand
And share a laugh to two;
To capture every star there is
And give them all to you
I long for summers walks with you
Beneath the pale moonlight;
To softly speak and say to you,
With you, it feels so right.
My heart has told me something
I think I ought to share
A heart divine, and true as mine
Needs tender, loving care
As long as we remember
Our future, not the past
Then realize it’s up to us
To make this passion last
Commitment, trust, and honesty
Will surely be our guide
And give us love and laughter
That never will subside
I long to spend eternity
Forever and a day
