At night, before I lay me down,
I pray to God above
To show my deep & honest joy, for sending me, your love
Before you came into my life, I’d pray for love, so true
And then one day, I realized, this love so true, was you
An Angel, sent down from above, through words within a prayer
I swear I barely blinked my eyes, and suddenly you were there
It seemed that in an instant, our hearts began to pound
A true and rhythmic tempo, of love that’s just be found
And in your voice, I’m sure I heard, a gentle summer breeze
That filled my heart with pleasure, and knocked me to my knees
And with each day that passes, My love for you grows strong
For in my heart, and in my life, is right where you belong
Let’s build a life together, and share it, you and I
To live in peace and harmony, until the day we die
My love for you is endless, and ever will be true
And in my every prayer, at night, I thank the Lord for you
