AWANA Clubs International is a youth organization that develops programs and materials designed to teach boys and girls about God, Jesus Christ (God's Son), and the Bible (God's Word). These programs and materials are designed for 3 year old through high school boys and girls. The name "AWANA" stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed taken from what God tells us in 2 Timothy 2:15, "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth." The goal of AWANA is "to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him."
The FBC AWANA program runs from 6:45-8:15 PM on Wednesday evenings from September through April. Each evening begins with a flag ceremony followed by Council Time/Bible story time, handbook time with the focus on Scripture memorization, and game time. The Clubs are divided by ages and grades:

FBC currently supports 15 missionaries and their families. LMF is a group of ladies dedicated to meeting monthly to pray for the needs of these missionaries and to correspond regulary with them. LMF meets on the fourth Thursday of each month either at the church or in someone's home. The main purpose of meetings is to pray for the missionaries but also included in the meetings are a business session, a Bible study or devotional, and updates from the Ladies Missionary Union of the State of Ohio concerning projects and rallies and also updates from our smaller division of the North Bethel group concerning those projects and rallies. All ladies of the church are welcome to attend these meetings.
