A perfect day on the river It was a perfect day on the river at the Otsego Park Stone Hall where members of the Friends of Wood County Parks met on Sunday October 19 to hear Fred Folger speak on the History of the Maumee River from Port to Port. Mr. Folger, pictured above on the left with Scott Kisabeth, FWCP President, and Shirley Sheldrick, Program Chair, had to tailor his talk to cover Fort Wayne, Indiana to Toledo but promised to return again to take us to the other port. As you can see in the top picture the river was at its best flowing over the rocks below. The day was further blessed by good fellowship and good food prepared and presented by the outstanding kitchen staff and the “Port-A-Lean” master chef Neil Munger.
