In case you missed it!

The speaker for the Friends of Wood County Parks Membership meeting at the W.W. Knight Center on Sunday May 18th was Toledo Zoo herpetologist Kent Bekker.

As a researcher, Kent is in his fourth year of Mark, Capture and Radio Telemetry of Eastern Fox Snakes.

As you can see he brought his favorite subject along for all to see. He spoke passionately about the many conservation issues of local amphibians and reptiles.

Kent has an M.S. degree from BGSU. Besides his zoo position he has been involved with a fox snake project for the Ohio Division of Wildlife for the past three years and a project involving Blanding’s Turtles in the Oak Savanna Habitat in Lucas County.
