Oscars : Keeping & Breeding Them in Captivity by Richard F. Stratton - so far this is the only Oscar exclusive book I have found, and it is an excellent one! It recommends tank size, filtration methods, potential tankmates, how to train your Oscar, and even toys for your Oscar. For Oscar lovers and potential Oscar lovers, get this book for your collection.
Aquarium Books That I Want To Own
An Illustrated Encyclopedia of Aquarium Fish by Gina Standford - I am recomending this book without actually seeing it for myself because I have seen some good reviews on it and I want it. Just click on the link and read the review and synopsis to find out why I think it would be an excellent resource.
Aquarium Fish Breeding by Ines Scheurmann
Aquarium Fish : How to Care for Them, Feed Them, and Understand Them (Family Pet Series) by Ulrich Schliewen
The Cichlid Aquarium by Dr. Paul V. Loiselle
Cichlids : Purchase, Care, Feeding, Diseases, Behavior, and Breeding by Georg Zurlo
The Most Complete Colored Lexicon of Cichlids : Every Known Cichlid Illustrated in Color by Herbert R. Axelrod
Michael Shurtleff's Audition - This is a must for all actors. If you are planning on pursuing an acting career, you need to know how to audition and Shurtleff will give you "12 guideposts" to help you on your way.
Respect For Acting by Uta Hagen - I have been looking for this book and finally found it! More updates soon.
An Actor Prepares by Constantine Stanislavski - Stanislavski is the method I learn in school and it's worth checking out.
Beggars In Spain by Nancy Kress - The beginning of this book is absolutely incredible! I think even people who aren't into sci fi would like this book. I also read An Alien Light and it was great. Apparently it's out of print, but it's a very interesting book. Since Nancy Kress is so good, take a look at Beggars and Choosers the sequel to Beggars in Spain, and Beggars Ride. These two are next on my reading list.
The Ship Who Sang by Anne McCaffrey - I loved this book! I didn't think it would be that good, but I could not put it down. It was so touching and so imaginative, fresh, and interesting!
The Glass Lake by Maeve Binchy - This was an interesting book about a Kit, who's mother dies in the Glass Lake. While all the panic is going on, Kit finds a letter on her father's bed (from Kit's mom), and burns it, fearing her mom has committed suicide. This book is so good, but I won't give away anymore of the plot. This is also the author of Circle of Friends.
Lady Of The Forest is a terrific book that I read a few years ago. For a project, I once dramatized one of the scenes in the book and it helped the book come even more alive for me. It was a fabulous book (somewhat gory) that I want to re-read.
Peach by Elizabeth Adler - I liked this book though I read it some time ago. It's a book worth checking out. There is a nice review at this link.
This series is a must-read!! Clan of the Cave Bear is an excellent book! I picked it up by accident from my parent's coffee table and read it until I was finished. Amazingly enough, I checked out the next book, The Valley of Horses and it is excellent, too. There is a total of four books in this series so far. The other two are The Mammoth Hunters and The Plains of Passage.

Dream A Little Dream by Susan Elizabeth Phillips - Rachel Stone and her young son are broke and living in their car. Rachel has her reasons for going back to the small North Carolina town that doesn't welcome her, but doesn't plan on staying! Gabe Bonner is her grumpy, but good-looking and clean employer... the only person who will give her a job and whole new meaning of life. I really liked this book. Many S.E. Phillips fans say this is not their favorite of all her novels, but I liked it so much that I'm running out to buy some more of her books. Beware, this book is difficult to put down.
Fancy Pants by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. She used the same formula in these two books, but the story line is sooo different. Similarities: main women have young kids, the main guy has had a child die. But, this book was still enjoyable. Maybe you won't want to read the two back to back, like I did. I still think each book is really good. Fancy Pants starts out showing us a little about the lives of Francesca Day's mother and grandmother, and then delves into her life. She's a spoiled brat, but she slowly changes. What the heck, just read it.
Bid Time Return by Richard Matheson - This is the book the movie "Somewhere In Time" was based on. The movie is awesome and the book looks good, too. This is another book I want but don't have yet. My friend Austin, who introduced me to the movie and the book, read parts to me, but I never got to finish it. If you haven't seen the movie, it is fantastic and I recommend that you rent it.
A Place To Call Home is one of the most fantastic books I have read lately. I started it one "lazy summer afternoon" and I read 7 hours straight until I finished it. This book is incredible. It is an exciting, intriguing story and I'm eager to read more books by the talented Deborah Smith. It's the story of Claire Maloney, a rich southern girl who befriends Roan Sullivan, the town's white trash inhabitant. Of course, it turns out that he's not a bad guy, he just has a bad rep because of his parentage. Read this book! It's fabulous!
Cocktail Mix, Vol. 1: Bachelor's Guide to the Galaxy is some great music I fell in love with earlier this year when it was used as interludes in a play done at my college. This is some fabulous music, I guarantee that it's worth buying.
