EnGlass Engineering for Glass ArtistsThe air we breathe (for this discussion) is 79% nitrogen and 21% oxygen. Oxygen concentration is made possible by means of two molecular sieves inside the unit. These sieves pass oxygen, but not nitrogen. However, a sieve is quickly contaminated with nitrogen, hence the need for two sieves. While the pump forces air through one sieve, the other sieve is back-flushed and purged of nitrogen. Then their roles are reversed. By means of valves and holding tanks, the resulting oxygen stream delivered to your torch is continuous and steady. This oxygen concentrator was used for medical purposes. It was designed to operate 24 hours/day. The cost to retain its FDA status is extraordinary. But for the purpose of glass working it is perfect. This unit has been rebuilt to manufacturers specifications and will have some cosmetic scratches and dents. However, inside it is sound and guaranteed to deliver oxygen 24 hours/day. This Concentrator is for industrial use only and not for any medical purposes. Operation FAQ Specifications Contact Me Return Ordering Close-Up Pictures |
