North Baltimore is very privileged to have so many clubs and organization which participate in the growth and activities of North Baltimore. The clubs really help make North Baltimore a nice place to live. A few of the clubs are highlighted below, but all are equally active in functions that benefit the citizens and businesses of North Baltimore.
Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber has a very active membership which sponsors several activities including a summer "Picnic in the Park," annual "Area-wide Community Garage Sales," parades and Christmas programs.
North Baltimore Professional and Business Woman's Club. Annual events sponsored by the club include an Academic Awards Banquet presentation of a $1,000 scholarship and a $200 book award (to a senior girl); Home Holiday (Christmas) Decorating Contest; participation in the Halloween Parade; decorate a room at the North Baltimore Area Historical Center and the Wood County Historical Museum each Christmas. The North Baltimore Area Historical Society (see "History" page) meets the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Historical Center 229 North Main Street.
North Baltimore Garden Club. Every summer the Garden club sponsors a contest for Flower Garden or Vegetable Garden of the month. Winners are awarded a sign in their yard which proclaims their garden "Garden of the Month." The club members also plant flowers at the Community Club sign on Briar Hill Road, at the Welcome sign on Main Street by the railroad tracks and at the Waste Water Treatment Plant sign on East Broadway, as well as at Maplewood Cemetery entrance. In addition, members sponsor a Flower and Vegetable Show each year and decorate a room at the North Baltimore Area Historical Center and Wood County Historical Museum at Christmas.
North Baltimore Ohio Children Conservation League (Rhymes and Reasons). With another group named the Quesettes this group sponsors a "Make it, Bake it, Sew it" auction every year at the NB Library. Proceeds are for the North Baltimore Powell Elementary School Camp outing.
