Welcome to Girl's of Faith!
Don't have anything to do on Wednesday night?
Are you a young girl in
Grade K through 8?
"Our Girl's of Faith" is just for you!
"Girl's of Faith" is a terrific way to encourage
young girls, Grades K-8, to build lasting relationships with each other and,
more importantly, to strengthen their relationship with God.
Girl's of Faith - Grades K-4
Grades K through 4
We are currently studying "A Life of Faith" series by Martha Finley.
There are eight books in "A Life of Faith: Elsie Dinsmore Series"
This October (2007), we started reading Book 3, "Elsie's New Life." It is about a girl born in the 1830's who has never known the love of a parent until she finally meets her father at age 8.
Elsie has been raised to follow the Bible in every way, but at times her Christian principles are challenged.
She is a wonderful girl with a big heart and makes God the most important person in her life.
We have devotions and prayer time.
We work on crafts and learn Bible verses.
We also have snack time, sometimes sing songs, and sometimes play games.
Our service projects include visiting the Wright Harvey House, performing skits and songs to help teach God's Word, and we have a Father/Daughter cook-off each winter.
Girl's of Faith - Grades 5 - 6
Grades 5 through 6
The fifth through sixth grade girls are studying "Fundamentals of the Faith."
We do crafts and are learning basic homemaking skills such as baking, cooking, sewing, etc.
For service projects, we visit the Wright Havey Houses, do special things or send cards to the elderly.
Some minister in church.
We participate in the Special Friend's program.
We also participate in the Father/Daughter Cook-Off, which is a lot of fun.

Girl's of Faith - Grades 7 - 8
Grades 7 through 8
The seventh and eighth grade girls are reading the third book in the Elsie series, "Elsie's New Life."
We are also studying the Ten Comandments.
Crafts vary from week to week.
We make gifts for our special friends like picture frames, needlecraft items, etc.
We really enjoy learning how Elsie uses her love of God to help her in difficult situations.
