Welcome to Women of the Word!
Our Current Study
We begin a new study series September 8, 2008. This is a video series "To Live Is Christ" by Beth Moore.
Come join us as we study the life and ministry of Paul.
"Thank You for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous and how well I know it."
Psalm 139:14
"Women of the Word" (WOW) is a terrific way to encourage adult women of all ages to build lasting relationships with each other and, more importantly, to strengthen their relationship with God.
A special thank you to Martha Willey for her work (and to those who contributed) in putting together our "WOW Times" each month.

Women of the Word Background
"Women of the Word" is a ministry to women of any age. Our goal is to enable women to minister in an atmosphere that encourages developing relationships with other women, instruction in God's Word, winning the lost, service in church ministry, community, and meeting the needs of our missionaries through participation in various projects and offerings.
We meet the first Monday of each month, usually in a designated home.
We participate in enouraging each other through the "Secret Sister" program as well as encouraging the young ladies by participating as a "Big Sister".
At the end of the year, we celebrate with a Christmas party combining all three programs.
Pondering Thought by Martha Willey
Have you ever found yourself "bragging" about a loved one? Maybe it was one of your children, your parents, or your spouse.
We seem to find joy in telling others about the special things that our loved one is up to.
Have you also noticed that as we're speaking about them with great joy, we are not mentioning their mistakes?
We know they have faults, we're just choosing not to point them out.
One day, if you're come to know Christ as your personal savior, we'll be the ones being joyfully talked about.
We see this in the book of Jude, "To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy."
Jude 1:24 NIV
Jesus is going to present you to His Father. He will make that presentation with great joy in His heart.
Notice, too, that we are going to be fault free. Jesus' blood paid the price so that even though we are guilty of sin, He can present us to God without needing to mention all the things we've done wrong.
Isn't it wonderful to ponder the thought that Jesus finds great joy in being able to introduce us to His Father?
