Tim Brown named Co-Chair of Commissioners Legislative
Committee.Columbus, Ohio
--- Tim Brown,
Wood County
Commissioner, was named Co-Chair of the Ohio County
Commissioners General Government/Legislative Committee
for 2010 by incoming CCAO President Paul Brooks (D) of
Franklin County. The appointment was approved by the
CCAO Board in Columbus on Friday, January 22, 2010.
Commissioner Brown’s committee will handle numerous
legislative issues ranging from general government
issues, unfunded mandates, elections, property &
buildings, dogs & animal control, public records,
sunshine law, personnel & civil service, collective
bargaining, employee benefits, unemployment
compensation, workers compensation, health insurance,
prevailing wages, solid waste and recycling, air quality
and environmental issues.
“I am honored by the trust placed in me by my
colleagues around Ohio and by our association’s new
President. Creating jobs for our citizens is my number
one priority and working together in cooperation with
each other around Ohio we will succeed. I look forward
to the challenge and opportunities presented to me by my
colleagues.” Mr. Brown said.

Commissioner Tim Brown elected President of Northwest Ohio
Commissioners Association
Columbus, Ohio --- Tim Brown, Wood
County Commissioner, was elected by his colleagues in
Northwest Ohio to serve an additional term as President of
the Northwest Ohio Commissioners and Engineers Association.
The election and swearing-in ceremony took place in Columbus
at the Commissioners annual Winter Conference. “I am honored
by the support of my colleagues and I look forward to
continuing my work with them to create jobs for our
citizens. We have a lot of work to do to turn around Ohio’s
economy and Wood County is leading by example, working with
companies like First Solar and CSX to create new jobs.
Working together we will meet the challenges of this
economy.” Commissioner Brown said.
